How to start your own email community

Its simple and easy! First gather a few friends who would like to participate in this project.

• Elect a leader / administrator / webmaster. This person does not need to be fully computer literate. He only needs to collect the monies due each member and create new email accounts for new members.
• As a group, decide on a web hosting company that offers web based emails.
• Choose one who can help you buy your desired domain name. Remember, a good hosting company has good after sales support!
• The web hosting company will configure the domain name and email software for you.
• The cost of the hosting varies from country to country, and company to company. If you are not sure, ask a geek friend for recommendations. I prefer a local company where I can pick up the phone to call when there is a problem.
• The leader should keep the login and password safe! I also keep a copy of all the members' email addresses just in case.
• The other members should be helpful when the leader of the project comes round to collect dues to pay the yearly web hosting fees.
